FAC Envolver 2.3

FAC Envolver, at its core a MIDI effect, allows for control of synthesizer parameters such as volume, cutoff, and resonance using MIDI CC and notes. Additionally, it offers two exclusive effects: a Noise Gate and a Trance Gate. The unique combination of features breathes life into your sound, creating dynamic natural modulation and sequences that are always evolving.

Underneath its surface, FAC Envolver functions as an envelope follower, generating MIDI data based on the signal contour. The signal source can originate from two distinct circuits: a traditional envelope follower and a rhythmic trigger gate. These circuits produce a signal envelope that can be modified by various parameters and transmitted as MIDI control change messages (CC).

The signal envelope passes through a gate detection system controlled by a threshold. When the signal surpasses the threshold, the gate opens, and when it falls below, the gate closes. This action results in a secondary envelope that is sent as MIDI CC (on/off) and notes, with the note pitch adjustable either internally or via external MIDI input, following a specific scale progression.

In addition to the envelope follower function, FAC Envolver includes a noise gate to intricately manage the audio signal level. By utilizing the same open/close sequence from the gate detection mechanism used for MIDI data, this feature affects the audio input directly. When engaging the trigger gate circuit, the open/close sequence creates a trance gate effect on the audio.

FAC Envolver is designed as a stereo effect with two slots (one per channel) that can be linked for seamless manipulation. The option to switch to mono audio and blend dry and wet signals adds versatility to its functionality.
